About Brick Farm Market
Housed in a beautifully restored 1930’s auto repair shop, Brick Farm Market was started in 2013 by Jon and Robin McConaughy as a dedicated retail outlet for livestock sustainably raised on their farm, Double Brook Farm, in Hopewell, NJ.
In 2022, they joined forces with Otto and Maria Zizak, of the popular Hopewell burger restaurant, Ottoburger, to manage and run operations for the Market.
In addition to the relocation of Ottoburger to the Market café for lunch and dinner service, and traditional breakfast being served daily, the Market boasts an artisanal butcher shop, an on-premises bakery, a cheese counter, produce, sundries, a charcuterie counter, and a beverage bar offering full-service coffee, tea, smoothies, fresh-pressed juices and bone broth.
What you’ll find at the Market reflects a culmination of informed choices and best practices. From sourcing meats, produce and local products from our farm and other like-minded farmers and purveyors in our region, to preparing recipes with choice ingredients, to educating the customer on cooking ‘snout to tail’ – we are taking some of the guesswork out of nutritious, local, sustainable shopping and dining.
With Brick Farm Market, Brick Farm Tavern, and Double Brook Farm, we have a closed-loop operation that takes food from farm to market to table and then back to the farm in the form of compost or animal feed; three entities that rely on each other to create a full-circle model of responsible food creation and consumption.
We hope you enjoy what we harvest off the land here in Hopewell, the dishes we prepare for you, and the feeling of community we wish to inspire.
